White for Weddings

Thought I would do a very short and sweet blog post on the outfit I wore last night to Lucy and Dan's wedding reception from Missguided (£50). I don't have a lot of chill time anymore to just sit and blog, so it's nice to have half an hour to myself to put down these outfit dets in a post. I would normally be a little sceptical about wearing white to a wedding / wedding reception, but I thought the edginess of this dress and its quirky style made it the perfect evening attire for this kind of event.

Dress: Missguided, Shoes: Public Desire

At the moment I am really being drawn in by the whole mesh, fish net kinda look. If you had read my previous post on my festival wear then you'd see that I rocked a black fish net unitard! Trying to style this look as much as I can, while summer is still (kind of) here. I never really wear outfits with long sleeves, as sometimes they can get a little stuffy, especially with in door events, but the fishnet look on the arms, means the dress remains a cool summer outfit. I also quite like the high neck look. Being a girl with a small bust means that you don't have to worry about how to style around this - the push-up bras, the strapless bras and can I even buy this outfit because of my small chest? I just think a high neck all around adds to that more sophisticated look.

My fav thing on this dress has to be the frilly skirt look. I love this unconventional look and how it turns a fairly basic hourglass shaped dress into something even more tasteful and classy. I matched this outfit with these beaut shoes from Public Desire (£30) and my gorg Chanel bag!

A great evening had by all and congratulations to the happy couple.
