Outfit Review: Dress up, dress down, dress all around

So, after attempting to be more organised with my blogging and having written this whole blog post on my commute back from work yesterday, ready to post this evening, I found everything I wrote had been deleted from my email drafts and I have no way of recovering it. So much to my frustration, I am having to write a whole new post, probably forgetting some of the important things I wanted to say. But oh well!

I just wanted to pen a very short outfit review while putting together a more substanial post on my trip to Paris a few weeks ago. It has been a good couple of weeks since I attended an event, let alone apply makeup and actually dress myself in some 'nice' clothes. After suffering from a painful wisdom tooth infection and then a cold, I found myself slightly housebound and very deflated. However, I felt slightly more human this weekend, so what better time than to take my boyfriend home, back to Essex to meet my family. A weekend full of eating, outings and trying to sing along to a rapper I barely listened too, I was a little happy I must say when Tuesday evening arrived and I could just pop my feet up and chill.

But, whenever there's an outing there's an outfit and attending a concert is a great excuse to dress a little quirky and even a little revealing. On Monday night I took Mitch to see Future, and for those of you that don't know, he is a rapper / singer, not some sort of fortune teller. Any how, I was just very excited to actually doll myself up a bit and do something fun.

I'm really into the dress up, dress down look at the moment - wearing something very dressy with something a little more casual. I decided to bare the brunt of the cold and for this look I wore a red leather detailed skirt and a black bralet, with my oversized black denim jacket from Missguided (which is about 3 sizes to big, but I LOVE). Of course I paired with my nude heeled boots from Public Desire - very comfy and perfect for those of you that don't really like wearing stiletos. To make the outfit a little more eccentric I went all out with the chokers and wore two of my favs (you can't really see too well, but one is a silver leather thick choker and the other a little metal choker with two lace type ends that I tie into a bow).

I'm hoping that I will be out and about about more now in the build up to Christmas (eeeeee my favourite time of year) and will be blogging some winter styles. P.s I'm very excited to add to my winter wardrobe. I think I prefer my winter looks more than summer looks. Would be interesting to know if anyone agrees or disagrees. Anyway, while your pondering on that I have linked some of my outfit details below. Apologies if you see a number of items linked in different posts, I am not made of money and I do love to recycle and rewear a lot of my stuff, just in new ways! Also, I am sorry if a lot of stuff I wear is no longer available online, some of what I own is old, but you should be able to find similar styles. P.P.S (I feel like I'm apologising a lot in this post) sorry for the poor photo quality, not always the best lighting when trying to get a picture in the dark and I'm not quite extra enough to get a pro photographer - so Mitch will do for now.
