WEEKEND RUNAWAYS: THE LION KING
I wanted to write another weekend runaway, as this is the first weekend I felt like I really had to write about what I got up too, as I, well we, had such a wonderful day the other Sunday. For Mitch’s birthday I decided to get us tickets to see the Lion King. I’m sucker for ‘making memories’ rather than buying gifts and since t had been FOREVER since either of us had been to the theatre I thought it would be a lovely day out. I saw the Lion King with my grandparents when I was younger (it was a tradition for them to take us and even when my grandpa passed away my grandma still took the other littlens) and all I could remember was that it was one of the most amazing, electrifying things I have ever seen. Everyone (well most) know the story of the Lion King and the songs that go with it. So, as an adult, it felt so nostalgic to be watching something so prominent in my childhood and brought back wonderful memories of watching it as a kid with my grandparents.
